I'm a little confused about your build here.

It looks like you did a good job putting it together, but Tantal kits are relatively rare and expensive, so I couldn't see putting an ACE stock on it no matter how uncomfortable the original is.

That and I would also have it professionally finished.

It's just my opinion I guess, but Tantal builds are collectors items, so there should be no skimping!

I'm not done with it yet.......Gee, cut me some slack.:D I was too excited to wait for it to be finished, couldn't wait to shoot it no matter what it looks like. I have a soft spot for this gun, so be careful what you say, unless you want to hurt me...;) All of my guns are shooters. That little wire stock realy sucks, besides looking cool. I realy don't like the way it rattles my teeth when I'm shooting. The cheek rest is non existant so there is no way to shoot acuretly. One of these days I'll put a nice finish on it and post a pic. here with original stock atached, Just for you!:D

Don't want to hit you in a soft spot, I just figure if you want a shooter there are plenty of SAR2s out there.

Nice rifle. I could not help but notice it looked like you took your pictures on a log landing after a timber harvest. Am I right?

This is my super secret shooting place. About 10 miles NW of Mt. Rainier. Yes it is an old log landing. I can see downtown Seattle
(about 60 miles away) from way up there. The only bad thing about it is, there isn't much room. Only about 50 yrds. But it is the best spot for testing my creations.:cool:

ya, I hate that stuff too. I don't even know if they are still in business. As for the Tantal, I got it from Global Traders for $250.00 I think. I don't think they still have them it was over a year ago. :)
