I am a huge fan of the "Berezka" camo pattern, it's probably one of my favorite Russian camo patterns (along with Flora, VSR, Tiger, etc.). I own a KZS oversuit, I'm wondering why it was labeled "KZS Camo" by the company I purchased the set from, what does KZS stand for? I thought that KZS stood for the uniform itself and not the pattern, am I wrong? Also what does "Berezka" mean? Anyone have any other info on the pattern? Thanks in advance!

kzs id just an acronym for the uniform itself, the russian words escape me its long and I dont speak the language.

the berezka pattern was used on uniforms said to be issued to old KGB and select spetsnaz it was the same pattern as the kzs just printed on the solid afghan war brown bdus. Just recently Igor posted pics of two russian soliders(not sure on unit) wearing this camo in the Chech.

It is very cool and is just now coming into our market, I actually thought about buying it tonight.

Yes,
surely unique pattern.
I too like the look of it, and efectivness.

I still like the VSR and FLORA the best though.

Thanks for the replies, does anyone know what berezka means? I think that I will order a set of the BEKAS in the Berezka camo pattern, I just can't get enough of this pattern. Next I'll have to hunt down a brand new Russian steel helmet (this ought to be a fun hunt as all I've seen is used or "refinished" ones) and a few other items to complete the picture.

I love the flora and vsr patterns but hate the material. I guess it was better suited for duty in russia ie. the cold.

I've seen the berzerka pattern in real life its hot!

"Berezka" is a derivative of "Bereza" which is a name for Birch tree.

Vorkutinetz, thanks for the help. Birch, now that makes sense as the brownish/tan "splotches" resemble the leaves on a birch tree.

Lots of photos of MVD spetsnaz in Berezka suits (as well as every other form of russian camo) on:

militaryphotos.net/forums

Go to the "Just Photos and Videos" section and search on "Russian" or "MVD"
