Any 7.62x25 ammo will do-don't use 7.63x25 Mauser broomhandle ammo there is just enough of a dimension difference to cause problems. Also stay away from Czech Vzor 25/26 submachinegun ammo this has a 20% higher propellent loading then normal. It's rare in the U.S. its packed in boxes 5-10 round strippers to load off the mag loader of the Vzor25/26. Other then that most 7.62x25 ammo will work in your Tokarev.

What GP35FN said, I have fired Chinese surplus, Polish surplus, China Sports commercial and S&B Commercial through my Toks without issue. I avoid any 7.62x25 that is on stripper clips as that was intended for refilling SMG stick mags and packaged accordingly.

Just a word of warning...my shooting range does not allow Tokarevs using military surplus ammo...they say it "chews up" their range. They do a "magnet test" on the ammunition to see if there is steel in the core.
