This is about Bushmasters buy out of Professional Ordnance.
I have a Carbon 15 that was made by PO. Started having problems with it (cracked bolt/broken gas tube) about the time PO went out of bussiness. Many phone calls and e-mails to PO went unanswered.
Figured I was screwed, until Bushmaster announced they were selling Carbon 15 rifles. Gave them a call. The guy I talked to, said PO was in bussiness, and I should call them. Not believing him, I tried to call them anyway.
No dice.
Called Bushmaster again. Talked to someone else that was very helpful, wish i would have gotten his name. He said they could fix the rifle. Gave me a guesstamate of what it would cost. Price seemed reasonable. Gave me the address (old PO address) , and i sent the complete upper.
Did not hear anything for a few weeks, so I gave them a call. They didn't have the info on hand, but would get back to me. Later that day, they called back and said the upper was on its way. Got it two days later.
The thing so far ( 100+ rounds) has run flawlessly!!!! Total cost for repair....... About ten bucks, whatever shipping was. Thats right, they did not charge me a cent!!!! Ya gotta like that.
If I ever buy another AR, it will be a Bushmaster.:D
