I just finished building a new Olympic Arms PCR-4. The rifle turned out excellent. I was especially pleased with the fit between the upper and lower receiver and also the perfect color match between them. This is noted as the lower receiver was manufactured in 1998 and the upper receiver was just manufactured in 2003.

I took it out to the range and it performed flawlessly with miscellaneous ammunition. Interestingly enough it shot better groups with the miscellaneous home reloads and Black Hills reloads than it did with Federal Eagle ammunition.

Olympic Arms continues to build quality AR-15 parts. I first built three of them approximately 16-17 years ago, and they also functioned flawlessly. Considering they are one of the only true manufacturers of AR-15 rifles, the second oldest continuous manufacturer, the excellent warranty and the good market pricing for their products I don't understand why so many of the boards are flaming them.

I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a new AR-15, or planning on building one. A group of us are planning a purchase of lower receivers to build several more in the immediate future.

Hey, welcome to the boards!

I'll agree Olympic makes some great stuff and I've been extremely happy with everything I've bought from them. I own two pre-ban SGW stamped rifles that I sent the lowers back and had "remanufactured" with my original serial numbers and they turner out great (actually perfect). Olympic's warranty is #1 in my book.

I think the big turn off for a lot of people is the fact that they don't offer chrome-lined barrels. I doesn't matter to me if it's just a plinker but for my "go to" rifle I want chrome-lining. Besides, when it comes to cleaning my guns I'm lazy and the chrome-lining is much easier to clean, IMHO.

Oh yeah, where are the pictures? ;)

All my ultra match fluted match barreled ARs, and my .45 ACP CAR version, which will 100% feed ANY .45 ammo I feed it. The funnel mouth design is the key here.. accurate, and even feeds lead reloads! Dalphon has 28 round post ban mags for this gun as well...modified grease gun mags !

And I sell Olympic Arms on line.. I have been to the factory several times. I owned Oly stuff way before I began to sell it, having bought them in California before we escaped past the "copper curtain". And my positive experience was why I wanted to offer Oly stuff on my site.

I am really looking forward to the possibility of new Olympic Arms designs IF the AWB expires (Not holding my breath tho)

Hey AC_Pilot....Spectre or Spooky? Or am I mistaken?
I am looking to buy my first AR but am on a budget. Considering either Oly or DPMS M-4. You said you sell Olympic Arms online. Can you post a link to your website? Thanks much.
