I have been going back and forth about getting one of these for sometime and I have a few questions I have not been able to find the answer to. Also I know that you are very busy so when ever you get some free time you could reply.

1. Has anyone ever done a torture test on this rifle and what is the reliability like

2. I here that the lighting cuts that you do help with the heat issue but what about dirt getting in there is it easy to clean.

3. Is there an ETA on the pistol caliber upper.

4. What caliber will it be and what mags will it take.

5. I here that the trigger is bad But I do not see trigger mod on your site.

6. What is the purpose of shortening upper receiver

7. Cold you comment on this quote I got from another site.

love bullpups, and I've owned a Bushmaster for many years. I've shot about a tousand rounds out of it. Frankly, it's an unfinished gun. There are all sorts of small things that should be done with it, but as it costs money to do those things (like a handguard, etc), it won't happen. It's a neat gun, but it just could have used some simple improvments.

8. How much to get mine to look like this minus the reddot and break (I'm waiting on the AWB :D)

1. Not to my knowledge, but that may be forthcoming.

2. High pressure air line and oil. For severe crudding, normal takedown will allow cleaning of a more serious nature.

3. No. The bolt is is the only issue I'm dealing with. I need to design a new bolt head for pistol calibers, to install in the standard carrier.

4. 9mm, 357 SIG, 40. STEN mags.

5. Trigger is AK-like. Some stoning to clean up surfaces helps. A new receiver would address the trigger linkage problem.

6. Getting the OAL down to legal length acceptable (26 1/2").

7. My work on the system is my reply. There are other mods in the works that are not reflected at the website yet, such as a new charging system.

8. Roughly $375.

Hey thatnks for the reply I hope to hear the results of that torture test soon and I can't wait to see those new mods when they get on your site.

One more thing on #7 I forgot to post the rest of the quote here it is. The trigger pull is pretty heavy, but it handles quite well and is very short for having a full length 20" barrel. Reliabilty is good. About as good as an AR. Bushmaster calls the gas system "self-cleaning" and it's a pain to get at. I think it should be accessible to clean, like the FAL's. I would also like to take the bolt out of the carrier without needing to drive out pins. Their idea was that since crap wasn't being blown back into the bolt carrier like an AR, then you didn't really need to take it apart. That made it cheap for them to make. The problem with that is if your M17s takes a plunge in the water, or you're shooting in the rain, you can't get at the bolt/BC interface to clean/lube properly.

The barrel is 21 1/2". The bolt can be removed from the carrier w/o hassle. I've done this, in preparation for the pistol caliber bolt heads. The gas system is a good one. More on THAT issue a bit later. I'm brainstorming again. Thx.
