Hello everyone :) I saw an AK-47 Parts kit at S.G.'s Catalog and Website. Looking at the picture, it looks like the same "PMKMS" kit they sell at Global Trades with Accessories. Does anybody know if this is the same great quality Polish AKS kit ( PMKMS ) ? Thanks ;)

Just out of curiosity, how much were they wanting??

It's actually more expensive than Global Trades' kit but since i'm a Buyer's Club member at S.G., i will be paying the same amount that Global Trades sell their "Select" Kit which is $179.99 ( $20 more from the $159.99 "Regular" Kit ). The S.G's price is $199.97 for non-member. Well, the real deal here is, as a member, i can purchase the AK-47 kit and pay with 4 equal monthly payment plan. This is convinient since i don't have to pay the total amount right now and it's easier for me financially. Global Trades' has the better deal if you have the money and they're known for their great reputation. I would get the Kit from Global if i have the dough. But, still, i'm not sure if S.G.'s kit is the same Polish AKMS Kit that Global has. Try visiting Sportsman's Guide website. www.sportsmansguide.com and on the quick buy box, enter this number: HX3A-76502 and tell me if that doesn't look like the Polish PMKMS kit complete with Accessories that they sell at Global Trades.;)

I think it is actually from Global Trades. Because i just got a Slant Muzzle brake from Sportsman's Guide and it is actually from Global Trades packaging, part number and everything. Hey, what do you think of Global's new U.S. Made Reciever coming out in January ! COOL       I can't wait !

I got my Polish kit a few days ago from S.G. It's the same as the PMKMS from Global. It's an unissued kit and everything looks NEW and unfired ! All numbers on parts match the Trunnion Block Serial Number. The Bore is mirror-like ! I think my kit is actually from 1981. The Polish wood ( Handguards ) are beautiful ! I will have Z_recto work on that awesome Russian Finish just like the one he did on my SAR-1's Laminated Stocks. And to my big surprise, the Bolt Carrier and Bolt head are both Polished Stainless Steel ! Meaning there's no paint or blueing on it ! COOL ! This Kit is really awesome. I can't wait to get Global's new 1.6mm Reciever so i can send it to Randy ( Independence Arms ) to build. I will be using a Standard Fixed rear trunnion block for a traditional Wood Buttstock. Not really a big fan of the Folding Stock ( The Gestapo's don't like the folding stocks anyways  , you know what i mean. )
