found out this guy at work had a Norinco 213......He wanted to trade for my Yugo sks.....My yugo is unissued, no rust or dings in stock, 100 % finish, tritium sights, muzzle brake, everything....Paid 225 for it. He brings this pos 213.....The thing was COVERED in surface rust.....He claimed it would come right off...No thanks.......

Prolly would come off with Kroil and brass wool, but you'd still be trading a a $225 unissued Yugo SKS for a $150 rusty-a$$ Norinco Tok.
No thanx is right.

thinking about offering him something for it.........I need a cheap project, and still want a 9mm tok........How much would you guys offer? Imagine dipping a gun in surface rust, and thats what it looked like. If I get it, I will not be able to get around using steel wool on it.....Which endangers any finish that might be left on it. If I get it I plan on removing the rust and reblueing it anyway.....But thats a lot of work......How much should I offer?

I'm with Falcon; $100.
And DO use Kroil and the white 3M Synthetic Steel Wool. It will remove less of the blueing in the process. I cleaned up a P-38 magazine that looked as if it was dipped in ground cinnamon using a white 3M pad dipped in Kroil and after the rust was gone the worn blueing was very much intact with a FEW minor pits.

few days ago he comes up to me at work and asks if I am still interested........I say maybe, and he says he would sell it to me for 300 dollers! I about hit him........I mean, I see 9mm Chinese Toks at the gun shows around here for 180, so paying him 300 for a rusted out pos is stupid. It actually offended me to think that he thought he could screw me that way. It really pissed me off. Guess I shouldn't do any business with him.....
Besides, I also heard that he is into some 'shady' things, and someone told me some of his firearms are 'hot'........
So thanks, but no thanks.........
