I just want to own and shoot a full auto...is this possible without having a business? I tried to read the ATF rules but am soooooooo confused. Does the law allow a person just to just collect guns anymore? Thanks...Gunner out

Gunner,
Many individuals out there own fa weapons without the benefit of having a business umberella over top of them. First thing to find out is if machineguns are allowed in the state you reside. If so, you need to find a class 3 dealer and find out if you can get a CLEO (chief law enforcement officer) signoff in the county/city in which you reside. If the answer to both of these is "yes," then you are just about home free as the qualification to own a machinegun are no more stringent than that of purchasing a handgun/rifle and passing an "instant check."
Figure out what you want to buy and go for it. Plan on having your patience tested as the hoops and forms will probably take 3-6 months when all is said and done, depending how you buy.....instate or out of state.
If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to email me.......I've done this 30+ times and counting.

Don't forget that at today's prices, you're going to spend $3000 (UZI), $5000 (FN-FNC), $5500-8500 (M-16), $8000-9500 (H-K MP5) and $5000-7000 (AK-47) OUCH http://www.ak-47.net/akcgi/eek.gif

Screw that! Ouch! I may handle full-auto, but I may never own it. At least, not for quite a while (or ever, if the Government keeps up their control laws).
