I have a question regarding a pre-ban Sendra AR. It has a problem with ANY magazine tried (U.S. GI 30 & 20 rnd, Eagle, etc.) properly seating. You can insert it and hear it hit the end of the mag-well/bolt, but it doesn't completely engage and will drop out (so you have to use an unusual amount of force to slam it up into the well to catch).
After the mag catches, if you go to load a round into the chamber and pull back the bolt, you can hear and see the top bullet in the magazine spring up after the bolt is clear and rearward; when the bolt moves forward to chamber a round, it will then get stuck with the bullet nosed into the "star area" before the chamber and the bolt "star teeth" pushing at the rear of the bullet (even pushing hard enough to push the bullet partially into the case. I had some HP 5.56 ammo (using the forward assist only jams the bullet deeper in the case with those) and some M193 ball (turns the rifle into a "bolt action" with the forward assist). This happened even after the rifle was completely stripped and cleaned. I personally had a Bushmaster (same model) for years and NEVER had a problem! I used all of the same mags and ammo type without so much as a misfeed.
SO, is it a mag catch problem, a lower receiver problem (where all mags set too high), or am I just out of luck on this? HELP!!!

Could be the mag catch is either too tight or too loose. ;)
