Well I got to shoot an MP-5 last weekend and decided I just can't live without full auto anymore. I have a dealer, I have a CLEO willing to sign a form 4 and I had the cash, so I just bought a Cobray M11/9mm for $1000 NIB. Any advice you guys can give me would be appreciated. I am going to be sitting here waiting impatiently for a while, and now I guess I need to stock up on mags and ammo.

Man, that's too cool. My first class 3 weapon was also a MAC, but mine was a M10/45 with a Sionics suppressor, and that was back when select-fire MAC's were $269. If you liked the MP5, check out Autowerkes web-site for MAC upgrades. They have HK sights that are so much better than the MAC sights, and they will either install them on your M11 upper, or you can just buy a M11 upper from them with them already on it. They give you that same sight picture as the MP5, and in my humble opinion, they are the best upgrade that is available for the MAC series of firearms. They also have the best front grip on the market. They have 2 types, one is a HK MP5K front grip that will fit your MAC, or they have a solid handle type of grip that is also excellent. If you are just using the strap on your MAC, be VERY careful to keep that shooting hand away from the end of the barrel. A buddy of mine put a round 'through and through' his left hand from just using the strap. Autowerkes also has a rate reducer for your weapon that will drop the high rate of fire to about 800 rpm, which is about in the MP5 range. Get lot's of magazines, and start buying ammo by the case, or get a Dillon reloader. You are about to have some fun. Oh, yeah, the Autowerkes website is at: www.autowerkes.net, (http://www.autowerkes.net,) or at least it is today. There are also two good MAC forums on the web that have lot's of info on them.
Welcome to the world of Class 3, and you might as well go ahead and put those semi-auto's away. You won't be shooting them anymore...Have fun!!!
Ooops. I gave the wrong Autowerkes website addy. AOL shut their site down a couple of weeks ago, so they are kind of looking for a host. Anyway, you can find their stuff at the Mac resource page, and scroll down the left side of the page til you find 'Autowerkes'. They have the pictures of the sights mounted on the M11/9.
