BlackJacks hold open followers review **PIC**

About two weeks ago I ordered 4ea of BlackJacks hold open followers and a buffer. Received the order promptly with in about 7 days. Items were as advertised. Followers are modified Chinese followers that allow the follower to ride higher in the mag opening allowing the bolt to stop on the back of the follower on the last round. The followers appear to be hand made with some variance between followers in work quality but all performed as advertised. I tried the follower in both Chinese and European mags with great results. Be warned, they will not work in waffles. BlackJack advertises this so no trickery there but I did confirm this for myself. The mod does seem simple and most people could probably do this on their own Chinese followers but like others I value my time and the price BlackJack offers these for are a good value. Antoher point of interest is that this mod will only really work correctly on Chinese followers due to the squared back in of the Chinese design. To try this with a steel dimpled European follower will not yeild perfect results. Overall, I am very happy and that BlackJack for bring another great product to us. :up:

The main function of these followers is to let one know when the last round has been fired and will keep the bolt locked back to help the cooling of the weapon between shoots.

I can make these followers work in waffle mags upon request.

The first several followers had some visiable variations but each follower has been fit tested in Chinese, E German and Hungarian mags to insure fit and function. I have stream-line the milling process a bit since these were made and they are looking more uniform.

Hey Blackjack,
Are your followers home brewed (count as a US made part), or did you modify foriegn ones. Also saw the G2 FCGs on your site. Good price. How's your inventory? Would probably order 3-4 FCGs and a few followers too as soon as I can scrounge up the funds. Unfortunately I can't make the group buy on FCGs in time so your price saves me some cash over TAPCO's regular price.:)
P.S. How 'bout some 74 followers/floor plates either BHO or regular. I could use extra US parts for my 74s.

My BHO followers are modified Chinese followers and I don't think they would count as a US part. I have more FCG's on order and should have them by Tues. or Wed. I am looking for some metal 74 followers but haven't come up with anything as of yet.
