I have a new polish tok and when I first fired it the slide would not lock to the rear on the last shot. Also, if I loaded a fresh magazine magazine the slide would spring forward as I slid the magazine in the well. If I set the pistol down, sometimes the slide would spring forward. Some attribute this to a rounded slide stop, or weak magazine springs.
After examining all my magazines, 1 polish, 2 hungarian, I determined the problem. The spring wasn't pushing up the follower to engage the slide stop. I disassembled the magazines and looked at the spring and how it was aligned. Well, after experimenting with the springs, I came to the following conclusion, the spring in a tok magazine only has one correct way to be installed. That is where the small circle on one end of the spring is toward the rear of the magazine. This allows the lower part of the follower to be better supported by the spring and thus force the slide stop up to grap the notch. It's not much, a fraction of an inch.
Tested my theory last week, no misfires, the slide locks back every time with 50 mag changes, great pistol, with a new chinese barrel it shoots one hole groups at 15yds. I hope this info helps sombody, Toks are neat pistols.
