I plan on adding a new product to my website that I picked up at the SHOT show. I have these on order and should be ready to ship in a couple of weeks. Here's the skinny...
They are basically a cardboard tube that has been impregnated with chemicals to protect the bore of your rifles. They don't start working until they are inserted into the bore and make contact with the metal. They are a really cool product and are excellent for storage of any type of gun.
Best of all, they are cheap. They run about $9 for 5 of them. That's less than two bucks for each one, which for protect your bore for a couple years. They say they should be replaced every year, but the owner told me they last longer than that. They have been used for years in military and commercial applications, but this is the first time they have been available to the general public.
Here's a pic...

I am really excited to offer these barrel guards, so watch for them. I will let everyone know when I have them available! :D

Just about every new rifle I've ever purchased came with one of those in the bore. Surprised it's taken so long for them to hit the general market.

There are only two sizes. The Rifle Barrel Guard will fit into anything from a .22 to anything larger. The Shotgun barrel guard will work on any shotguns or any bore large enough for it to slide into. They are really amazing! I wouldn't be surprised to see these things win some sort of product award from the SHOT show this year.
