I need to get a new forestock for my 1914 SMLE. The one that is on there now shattered at the rear end where it meets up with the buttsocket. I have tried repairing it, but this only encouraged it to break in a different area. I know about Numrich, and their prices are good, but it seems like every time i order form them it gets cancelled. do they have a minimum order, or do you need a dealer number or what, I dunno. is there anyplace else that may have one for sale?

Try Brian Dick at BDL, he's always got Enfield Stuff.
Or springfield sporters will too for that matter.

Sarco and Global Trades are possibilities too. I'd try Springfield Sporters first though.

Have you considered talking to Neil West about repairing the existing one? Look at his carcano thread and see the repair work he did there. He does an awesome job

unfortunately guinny, there is little left to repair. it is split in several places, and there are large pieces missing now. it has already been repaired what looks like 3 separate times, (once by me) and now there is just nothing left to attach to :( :(

Call Russel @ Springfield Sporters and order one of the "new old stock" South African MkIII* forends. Should run ya about $65 + postage. If your rifle has a cut-off you can relieve the forend to clear the slot without alot of effort and then just fit the action to the stock..
Cheers,
Mike
