While Google searching for the best price for a Harris bipod, I've seen ads for Outers' "Harris clone" bipods, one site describing the clones to be just as good as the Harris.
Can anybody confirm this? I haven't been able to find an Outers item for comparison locally.
Sportman's Guide sells the Outers for about $38, which would make it about $20 less.

The design is not overly complicated so as long as they stick with the construction, I'd say go for it. SG is a sponsor and they guarantee satisfaction with the product so I'd probably go for it.
I haven't had any first hand experience with the Outers bipod though.

I have the Outers bipod for my 10/22 and love it, the construction is A1!
I purchased mine from this place,

Thanks guys. Since initial post, I had tried to get an Outers from Sportman's Guide, but they're on backorder and I haven't been able to locate one in stock from other vendors. I ended up ordering a Harris locally. It's built very well and sturdy.
