9mm colt ar-15 sporter mags

I have a colt 9mm ar-15 sporter carbine and I need mags. Are there any mags I can modify so they work ? Like uzi ,sten or tec 9

friend of mine bought a 9mm colt with 2 factory colt mags and a dozen uzi mags(converted)i dont remember if the mags where worked or if there was an adapter to accept the mags-will find out though-as far as i know-sten mags work also
