I should have put this question here.Anyone tried to modify the follower for the cz52 ,add a wolff spring to get a couple extra rounds out of the mag?

I've dinkered with mags on various weapons, seeking a extra round or two.
So, since I had my 52 around today for another project, I took a look at the mag.
Taking it apart and looking at the follower, I can see that it could be trimmed to allow for one more round. However, looking at the design, I can see that modifying it to do so -trimming the follower bottom, would not, from my experience, leave enough bearing surface to avoid a risk of it upsetting. Simply put, it would degrade reliability.
According to all the previous, I would not do so...and, I did consider doing so, being prompted by your post.
Oh well. win some -lose some.

I have modified 3 CZ52 mags for one more round.
they hold nine now. Just measure twice and dremel once. make sure to leave the angled cut. When you are finished apply grease to the back side of the follower. The first few times they will be difficult. Press the top round down then insert the next. After a few loads they loosen up then it is not required. All of the mags I modified work great, but it is true that it shorten's the followers a little to much. So if they screw up dont blame me. But like I said mine work great now. Its your call.

I added 1 rd. to all 4 of my mags by cutting (grinding, that little mother's HARD) 1/4" off the LONG end of the follower.
Never had a problem.

I wouldnt modify my original CZ52 mags, I would just carry one extra round in the chamber with the hammer down and the safety on, so the spring doesnt get over compressed.
