Been shooting my new (First) AR-15 a lot, love cleaning from the breech, but haven't figured out the best way to clean the bolt, and it seems to be getting gritty. What's the easiest way to tear down the bolt for cleaning?
Thanks

Full disassembly of the bolt involves removing the gas rings, ejector, ejector pin, ejector spring, extractor, extractor pin and extractor spring. All disassembly except the rings is accomlished using the tip of the firing pin as a punch/tool.
If you're really taking about disassembling the bolt CARRIER, that's easy, too - remove the firing pin retaining pin, drop the firing pin out, press the bolt into the carrier to allow access to the cam pin, rotate the cam pin 90 degrees to clear the gas key and remove it, then pull the bolt out to the front. Reassembly is the reverse.
