Since we are AK-centric in these forums, and your moderator tends to lean toward the Russian and former communist bloc collectibles, these links I've compiled reflect that bias. Feel free to add links to this thread of other areas of collecting.

As the list grows, I will categorize the links.

What we need

Militaria Info Sites - Such as uniform guides, reference sites, camo collectors' personal sites, any historically pertinent site
Supplier Sites- Places to get this stuff. While we suggest you try our sponsors first (you will get the best deal) they can't always carry the rare or out of production goods.
Photo & History Sites - websites with pictures and accounts of gear and uniforms in service

I will update this link list from time to time to make it easier for browsing, so this is just to get started. Please add yours if you have 'em.

BEWARE of "Allmilitarysurplus.com" they will RIP- YOU-OFF!

I placed a small order with them once and after about 6 weeks of waiting the wrong items in POOR condition finally arrived at my door. They never answer emails, or snail mail and the phone number on thier site was disconnected when I was trying to contact them. I sent my order back with a letter for a refund and haven't heard from them since.

I don't want to be slanderous here, but I just want to tell fellow collectors to watch out for these guys. Don't get screwed like I did. Others at the gunboards DDR forum will collaborate my story.

Well, I guess you reminded me too of Allmilitarysurplus.com, I got ripped too. I ordered some stuff and it came only partial, and some of it was wrong. Forgot about that.

Buyer beware.

Try http://www.stephan.de Site has an English version. I have dealt with them personally at a few shows and by mail. Not sure if the guy is Danish or German, but the package came from Germany. If you go there, don't buy any Danish fieldcaps. They are all for me!

I'm pretty sure he is German. I've seen him at shows over the years but not for the past couple. He was usually at the Show of Shows in Louisville.

For what it's worth, I've sent these guys a couple of E-mails, even a fax. No response, nada. They are zeros, at best.

Vegasbee rocks man, I have a ton of patches from them and not enough uniforms to put them on. Some of the Cossac patches are magnificent.

Thanks for the links. Should come in handy in the future. I did order from trident once. I got what I ordered and it was nice. It did take them a long time to get around to answering my questions though. I think if you have the patince to wait you will be happy. The problem is who knows how long it will take, my two cents.
