I just heard Bushmaster now has a .308 that takes FAL mags! Are these in production yet? Anybody got/seen one?

I just looked at one today at a gun shop in Scottsdale. Massive gun....must weigh 8 lbs or more. Price was $1400.
Neat looking gun.....had OD Green stocks.

i own a fal and know a few guys who do and a lot of those 5-10$ mags are shot, a lot of them dont feed the rounds properly...

Id buy one if it came with the same package as the varmint model .223. That would make a good rival to the SR25.

then again, so are the fal's.
yes its true ive checked it at a gun show in pa this past weekend they do take fal mags.

I'm in the market for a .308 and this Bushy looks good. Any range reports? How's it compare to Armalite? I'm a recoil WUSS - how is that? How's the 16" compare to the 20" in terms of 200 meter accuracy?

if u want to reduce recoil,the longer the barrel the better,plus a shock buffer helps.

The .308 Bushmaster barrel is not chrome lined. I think I will wait until they offer a chrome lined barrel before I spend the bucks to own one.

So has anyone gotten one of these?
I've handled a few. They feel really nice like a typical AR. Too expensive for my budget though.
