Just ordered new "bastard" CZ

I just ordered the new CZ 40-P. These are the "bastard" mating of the P-01 frame and the 40-B slide and barrel. It is a limited run of 1500 units, so they may not be easy to find. Seemed to be a deal I couldn't pass up...... 40 S & W, compact (sort of), light weight (compared to CZ 75), and the price of $306 clinched it! They are just starting to arrive at the distributors, so I may have a while to wait. Hope I don't drive my dealer crazy! :D

Hmmm... I think I want one. Interesting combination of parts. Those were leftover 40-B slides.

Yeah Vit, the slide is from the discontinued 40-B. The CZ website and catalog shows nothing at all about the 40-P, but they do include it on their product price list. MSRP $378. I don't know why they are offering it so cheap when the MSRP for the P-01 is $569! J & G Sales (http://catalog.jgsales.com/) was one of the first to receive the 40-P, and has them listed for $299 in their online catalog, but I have heard that their supply is all gone for now. I found a pic on the CZ forum, if you haven't seen one. :D

It is unfortunate that the CZ-40B was discontinued. I like it a lot. Sold the Sig P-229 .40S&W after I got the CZ.:D
