I recently resized some 30-06 brass through my 7.7 Jap die, and then trimmed down the cases.I used 38 grains of IMR 3031 over a 150 grain Hornady pointed soft point.Out of this 4 shot group at 100 yards, i had one flyer. The 3 holes close together are under 1 inch.So don't let anyone tell you these old Jap's can't shoot.http://www.gunsnet.net/album/data//500/778232-med.jpg

Nice job Kevin!
I would love to see a "family portrait" of all your Japanese rifles one of these days!

How did the brass look afterwards?

Upon further examination off the brass i had a few cases with small cracks near the head, not good.
The 30-06 brass after resizing in the Jap 7.7 die still has the same base diameter and will be small in the jap rifle chamber. If loaded to hot the case will seperate at the weakest point.
I will be fire forming all cases from now on.;)
