Sounds like you are looking for the quantity discount on three or more units. I just went through my local class III dealer and found two others to purchase them as well. He ordered them direct from Vector. Saved $500.00 on each unit.

Yeah, my Class 3 dealer orders them 3 at a time from Vector and said he pays $2500 each. He has bought about 12 so far. They still have about 2000 left I beleive, started with over 3000. Everyone says they are good guns.

I have a M11/9 and I'm going to buy a Advanced Armament suppressor, which can be used on the M11, the UZI and a Beretta 92.

Does anyone know of a website for information on these Vectors? $3000 sounds almost doable. Any information is appreciated.

Try www.vectorarms.com (http://www.vectorarms.com) .

I am well pleased with it. The Vectors have two main advantages. It has a registered receiver instead of registered bolt so you can swap parts and change calibers easily. Also they are built with all full auto parts. Many of the conversions are left with some of the semi parts still in place.

My Class 3 dealer has sold quite a few Vector UZIs. A recent Small Arms Review had a test fire article and spoke highly of the Vectors. I recently acquired a M11/9, which is a LOT of fun. Very fast. But I am getting ready to buy a Vector FA. I think the internals for these came from South Africa.

BTW, my dealer is selling them for $2800 NIB.

Also, for those of you into Class 3, check out Advanced Armament for suppresors. They have a small one that is supposed to be quieter than some of those big ones. AA makes theirs on CNC machinery. About $450.

Repairman, I have been reading a lot of good things about the Vector Uzi, how do you like yours.

Red Dog,
I don't know if you have owned class III weapons before, but buying one and possessing one are two distinct separate operations separated by many days of sheer frustration. I commited to purchase my VectorUzi 2 weeks ago and I'm looking at having it in my hands sometime in March. The total turnaround on my FNC will be 6 months (purchase to possession) when I finally get my hands on it. Ted tape on these things sucks big time!!! There is a fine article in Small Arms Review on the Vector. I have the magazine at work, so I will post the issue that it is in at a later time. It describes the whole evolution of the Vector Uzi and the process that was gone through to get the guns to market (3318 receivers were bought at auction and turned into guns of which approx. 1000 -1200 have been sold at this time). The review of the gun by the author stated that the Vector was the finest example of the gun, even beating out the original IMI. Keep tuned, maybe I can post excerpts of the article for you.

The registered receivers are Group Industies. The bulk of the parts are mil-spec full auto parts made by Lyttleton in South Africa. Vector makes the following seven parts themselves, barrel nut latch housing, front sight bracket, bayonet lug, foregrip lug, pistol grip lug, rear plate and rear sight bracket. The end product is great.

As a side note, my form 4 only took eight weeks. I was caught completely by surprise when I got the call that it had been approved.

My wife is buying mine, the Uzi was not my first choice but for the money I think it is a good deal.

Just a tip guys if you want to speed the process up on your Form 4. Incorporate and have the corporation take title to the weapon. Can get it done in about 30-45 days that way I am told. That is the way I'm doing my next one.

Having been incorporated before in the state of Ohio, theLAST thing I would do is incorporate for the sole purpose of buying class III weapons.

I know what you mean. I have incorporated before also and I don't think it is what I would do for a C3.

I think you guys would be surprised how many Class 3 dealers and Class 2 manufacturers incorporate. Its a good way to put one more liability defense in place in case someone steals your gun and does something bad. I'm a lawyer so I know about things like that.

If you are a businessman (like in your examples) incorporation might make sense. But for the common man to do it for a gun or two, no way. I was an incorporated taxpayer, so I know about things like that. Also, an individual does not have to let the cops or whoever in his house to see his class III weapons if they show up unannounced. (you are only required to show your form 4 for proof of right of ownership) You let them in only if they bring a warrant with them. But you lose that if you are a dealer. Incorporation would lose that also. James Bardwell covers this under class III ownership over at subguns, com
