I am hearing really good things about the British-made steel AR mags, but does anyone have any insight into to Israeli-made ORLITE mags I'm seeing in the CDNN catalog? I have had excellent results from the polymer mags for the Saiga rifles, but have no information regarding poly mags for the AR.

The orlites are OK, but will eventually get brittle, spread, and crack. The israelis dumped 'em for standard GI aluminum mags and sold all their surplus off years ago.
The thermold magazines come in two types - US made which are pretty good, but may still tend to spread at the top when fully loaded, and the canadian "thermelts" which were made with a different, lower-temp plastic which tends to melt when used for fast semi or full auto fire. The canadians also dumped "thermelts" for GI aluminum.
There are additionally plastic magazines made by Eagle (iirc) which came in different colors from clear to smoke grey and brighter combinations, which are pretty good, but also tend to get brittle and crack or break over time.

Circuits is right on the money.
I have brand new, never issued, one of each Isralei Oralite and US Theremold for the collection.
It speaks volumes when two nations drop their poly mags and contract our GI mags, espically the IDF!
For business.......
US GI, preferably LaBelle Ind. teflon coated ones!
