I think its French but I'm not sure, pic of the datestamp included...

ahhh, the famous serbian "red x" belt buckle...i'm not getting a pic but that might just be me...:(

The "Lille" stamp is the giveaway. It's French. Also, the '1ere' stamp. If my college French serves me right, it's short hand for 'premiere' or 'first' region. Don't know what the first region would be, but Lille is a city/region in France.

Thanks for the help willmar69, I vaguely remember seeing a French pistol belt and shoulder holster that looked very similar, I kind of figger'd it was French.:)

don't know about the belt but the pouches are for a MAS, when these first started to get here we used them to store G-43 mags as they are about the same size, and are similar except there all leather

yeah, it's a french rig. i have the same deal with matching suspenders. it has a big, double-hook, blue steel buckle with a roller, right? pretty well made, too! you can also get them with leather loops with "D" rings...
