Now looking at CZ-50/70

The other day when I got my CZ-52 I noticed that the gun shop had a CZ-50, and CZ-70 32 ACP pistols. They were both selling for $109.00 each, and looked absolutely perfect in condition. You guys gave me an excellent run down on the CZ-52, are the CZ-50 / 70 worth getting as well, now I would love to buy both, but my budget will only allow me to purchase one since I just got the CZ-52, and my fondness for 32 ACP is not huge. Is the 70 better than the 50, witch one is worth more, and why. The gun shop guy said the CZ-50 was harder to get in such excellent condition, is that BS, or worth considering?

The 70 is an updated 50, and they use the same magazine. The update is not necessarily an improvement, IMO. The grip of the 70 feels "square and angular" to me, and that translates to "uncomfortable" when shooting. The 70 that I own has a really high DA pull force, and that is off-putting. I hardly shoot it.

The 50 that I have is more comfortable to hold in the hand due to the differences in the molded grip between the 50 and the 70. The 50's DA pull is not as stout as that of the 70. I fire it more often.

Seeing that your dealer has both, do a side-by-side comparison for feel, and see if he would allow you to dry fire the hammer against your thumb to test the pulls. See if the 50 isn't nicer.

And since he has a specimen in nice condition, I'd go with the 50 first. And IMO his statement about the 50 being harder to find in exc. condition is not BS.

CZ50 is my next toy...had to choose between that, or a Walther PP Manurhin....the Walther won. I doubt if I''ll buy 5 CZ50's like I did with CZ52's though.

I went to my 01 dealer the other day, and he had what looks like an unfired CZ-70 for $85 out the door. Is this a normal price for this pistol? I thought it was a heck of a deal, even though the double action is terrible. Has anyone figured out a way to improve the D/A trigger pull?
