Everyone seems to be getting into the game with picattinny rail systems, etc. The new FN tactical shotgun with CAR stock and pistol grip is basically a Win 1200. :)

The truely unique thing about this gun is that it can be reconfigured in under 1 minute from any configuration to any other configuration.

What type of barrel is supposed to be used on a tactical shotgun? I have a Rem 870 exp. mag. and Ive been looking for an 18' barrel for it. If I remember right, the only ones I can find are rifled.. i think.. but can you shoot regular shot thru a rifled barrel without totally messing it up?

You can shoot shot through a rifled barrel but you really do need to. Most tactical shooting involves buck shot in any of its many configurations (00, 00 frangible, #4, etc). If you shoot slugs out of a smooth (aka shot) barrel it will work fine but will not have the accuracy out at range; say 100 yards. Go with a Rem Choke 18 Barrel and you can change the choke to meet the shot to include a rifled one.

I really like the FN gun. I want to get one and put a BATTle grip on it, an EOTech or Aimpoint CCO, and a Magpul stock! That would be a tight ass rig and for not much more than a Benelli M3 Super 90!

Be care with teh FN gun if you expect to shoot alot, there have been alot of problems with them.
