stock finish on type 99?

i used easyoff to clean my stock and am ready to start rubbing in boiled linseed oil. Is this the proper finish? or should i go another route.

1. The japanese used a blend of oils that was much like the linseed oil you are going to use. This is as close to the proper finish as you can get. Remember that it takes quite a few layers of BLO to achieve a good satin finish. PATIENCE!!!!:D
