CZ 52,s have been known to have their original firing pins break in the small front pin area. There are after market pins available at www. makarov.com. The one I am using is a $45.00 spring loaded pin. It is working fine and does not dimple primers when the slide slams shut (so I,m not expecting any slam fires) It is not the" heavy duty" just the normal duty pin.

PS They are super easy to install and firing pins are the only problem I've ever heard of on7.62x25 CZ 52's.

Mak.com is out and doesn't have an expected restock date :(

Anyone know if the pins advertised by J&G sales are good (american)? or are they stock replacements from a surplus armory kit?

Firing pin breakage?
Does this happen often?
I have had my pistol for over 5 years and fired 500+ rds.

Dryfiring promotes the breakage. I have one that broke its FP after maybe 10-12 snaps on an empty chamber. Another has ate about 350-400 rounds with no issue with the original FP, but I NEVER snap it. The first one has a Harrington replacement from makarov.com. They are US-made.
