........Winchester DynaPoints. This 40gr. Hollow Point bulk ammo is kick ass for $9.63 for 500 round @ Wally World. We just shot another 500 rounds the other day through various .22's and this is the most accurate and consistent bulk .22 that I've ever shot. You don't get the extra 50 round like many bulk packs but the ammo quality MORE THEN compensates for it.:D

I had a bunch of failures to fire with the Fed Value Pack. That's my main beef with those. Oh, and I'm into more standard velocity and subsonic loads, but if they work for you, great. Just keep shooting.

I finally found some DynaPoints at a K-Slum (Mart) by my house. The Wally Worlds in my area don't carry them

The price was $14.00 but I bought a bulk pak anyways because I really want to try them out and see if they live up to the rave reviews. Of course I had to wander around the store for 10 minutes trying to find an employee that could open the case they were in and ring me out

Lol SBF, Yeah K-Mart sucks rocks dude. I went into a K-mart the other day for the first time in quite a while. It was pathetic to say the least. I think your really gonna be suprised with the quality of the DyanPoints. Most of my .22 Rifles and Handguns seem to love the stuff.

Ssom003 - I've been happy overall with the Federal Value pack @ Wally world but I would seriously reco you try the DyanPoints.

Question: Where can I find Dynapoint 22's?
Answer: The Dynapoint is the same cartridge as the WW22LR which should be available at most retailers. Specs can be found here.

Speaking of Winchester Wildcats, does everyone else normally see them priced a bit higher than comparable .22lr such as Thunderbolts and Lightnings? For some reason our local Dicks sells Thunderbolts for $8.99 per 500, and Wildcats for $14.99 per 500.
BTW, aren't Dynapoints hollow points? If so, they aren't Wildcats, as Wildcats are solids.

Has any one had any problems with the Remington Golden Bullets? I usually get Federals but bought some Rems and a few rounds don't want to fully chamber in my 10/22, never had that problem with the Federals. Little bigger bullet dia.?

The Remington Golden Valu-pak is awful stuff. I don't think there is a more inconsistent ammo out there (until hi-point starts to make ammo).

WHat he said,

You can shoot 11 rounds (one in the hole and a factory mag) and hear three different variations with the Golden Bullets. THey look pretty like the Federals (Federal 36gr is much better IME) and UNLIKE the WInchester Dynapoints (THe cases are usually dirty and the bullet sometimes look rough). I definitley wouldn't say that the Rem. Golden bullters are utter crap or dangerous (LOL) but it's hard to belive that one of the best (if not the best) ammo compaines on the planet puts out the Golden Bullets. I wouldn't be suprised if they weren't even made by Remington.

I haven't found a bulk priced .22lr avaliable @ a fair price that outperforms and is more consistent then the Winchester Dynapoint.

My vote goes to the federal bulk pack for my P-22 although I get a lot of FTF with them in my 10/22.

Lets cover the opposite end of the spectrum. Winchester Xpert hollowpoint bulk packs. These rounds look like your shooting black powder, they leave chunks of lead in your barrel and they have a horrible FTE rate. My P-22 jams about 30% of the time with these and my 10/22 jams about 60% - 70% with these rounds

I've only bought a couple boxes of the Win Xpert and I won't be buying anymore. It leaves chunks of fouling that look like sand (like allot of the PMC I've shot in various calibers) and it has serious FTE problems.

To bad you can't get CCI MiniMags in 500 bulks packs...it's just so consisent, reliable and clean.
