Over the past month I came across these FEG PJK-9HP clones of the Browning High Powers. The darker blue one with black plastic grips is apparently newer as it has that cheap-ass needle-etched lettering. The trigger pull is UNBELIEVEABLE for a BHP. Like breaking an 1/8" glass rod, only lighter but equally as crisp. It digests anything I ran through it to date. Came in a styro box with two hi-cap mags with welds up the spine, but they feed great. The finish is that funky "Winchester blueing" that isn't blueing.

The lighter one with wooden grips looks to be earlier in vintage, has a "real" blued finsih and has rollmarked lettering on the slide. I haven't fired it but did clean it up last weekend and everything appears to be squared away and good to go. It came with two hicap mags, both green phosphated with blued floorplates.

I had one of these FEG PJK 9HP clones with a vented rib several years ago and foolishly sold it (dumbass attack). When these wandered into the sights I executed immediately. Carpe FEGs.

I like mine, it is like yours with the wood grips. Once I took the mag safety out the trigger went from bad to SUPER NICE.
I like the bluing on my example also.
And everyone who shoots it loves the sweet BHP design.

Great to see others recognize what IMHO is the best deal going in a handgun. I love 1911's, and the makarovs are great. I don't even care for 9mm. But my favorite handgun is the pjk-9hp.

In every way, except perhaps internal finish, it's the equal of the 60's version Brownings I cleverly sold for $95 a piece in '74 (Divorce).

And removing the magazine disconnect is a must to obtain a decent trigger. Mine is the beautiful light wood grips.

I haven't seen any in the shops for quite a while now, any one know if they are still availible?

My oldest son keeps trying to "borrow" mine. Aint gonna happen. Might buy him one if I can find one, but he doesn't get mine. Think I paid about $240 in '94 or so,

'Coure now that we told everyone how great they are, the price will go up! Damn, when will I learn to keep my mouth shut!
