Funny how they took a MG42 and turned it into a Star Wars type rifle. I know that Han Solo's pistol was a dressed up broom handle mauser pistol.

I'm with you on that!

I have wanted a set of storm trooper armour since I was about 5!

The short rifles that you see storm troopers with most times are disguised British Sterling sub-machine guns with a 5 or ten round clip. Oh, and some kind of under-folder stock.

I know the huge rifle a Storm trooper is toting around Mos Eisley is an MG42 or 34 shrowded by a big piece of pipe or something.
