You're trying to link the photo off your computer. You need to upload it to a photo album that allows linking, such as the photo album we have here.
Look at the grey row of button at the top of all pages and hit the one titled photo and follow the directions.

Don't worry about the clutter.:D
It would be nice if you can get a pic of the bolt out of the rifle, and a shot of the safety.

go see the photo forum. You're almost there. You're putting the wrong address in the IMG box. Common and confusing mistake. The address of the photo is not the address in the address bar at the top. I'm really looking forward to seeing these

That is a trainer Redwagyu, let me post a pic of my Type 38 training bolt and tell me if it is the same. The extractor is totally different than a standard military issue Type 38.And the safety knob is over exaggerated.

Nice pic of the floorplate. Take notice it no open, making it a single shot.;)

I took a series of pics to let them speak a little for themselves. The bolt with the full extractor is of course an early type 38 issue.

The last picture pretty much compares the safety knob.

Yep, the bolt looks just the same as the trainer. I guess this is a non-shooter. Any thought on value-it has the bayonet as well.

With bayonet and rifle and scabbard.Condition looked very good.400.00 starting bid on the gun auctions.IMO i would hold onto what you have for now. That is not an easy find in that condition.

Yes it is a non shooter. I have read about Vets that brought back training rifles and shot live ammo from them. The result was not good. Some training rifles did actually have the receiver marked for blank ammo.

Sooooooooooooo, trainer = non-shooter??????? I've been looking at buying one of these but don't want something that I can't shoot.

Tracy....I have read that trainers were intended for use with blanks only, being "drilled out" to smoothbores. That said, seems to be a wall hanger only. The guy I got it from had a story about a "Japanese Assault Weapon" from his uncle or dad or somesuch. I'll let him down easy.
