After waiting for nearly six weeks, I have finally gotten my CZ 40 P! I doubt that I'll get to the range before the weekend, so no range report, just yet. Other than a couple of annoyances, this thing is pretty sweet. The slide is typical CZ smooth as glass, and the trigger is much smoother than I expected, and I'm sure it will only get better with use. The wide curved trigger is not the most comfortable for someone with large fingers (like me), but it is positioned well. The gun fits well in the hand, and seems to be a natural pointer. With the lightweight alloy frame, it does seem a bit top heavy, but not at all unbalanced. Since CZ has not, until now, made a compact in .40 S & W, the magazines are full-size with big butt-ugly, protruding base plates. I have some Pro Mag CZ compact mags in .40 S & W on the way. Hopefully they will fit flush, and improve the looks, and concealability. It may need a little tweaking, but overall, for $306, I think it's a keeper! :D

Great deal! Let us know how it shoots. Haven't seen one of these.
I myself am looking at a couple of CZ's . A CZ27 and a P-01. Saw a RAMI in .40s&w, but the asking price was too high ($480).

Yesterday, I got a couple of compact mags by Pro Mag from Midwest Tactical (http://www.midwesttactical.com/view_category.asp?cat=158) in the mail. They fit well, and drop free. I can't really comment on function until they have been thoroughly range tested. They make the weapon more compact, and I think they give it a much more appealing look. I don't know why CZ didn't do this in the first place! ;)
