What are your guys' opinions on this rifle? Im thinking of expanding into the AR world with this when the money comes in. Anything in particular I should know? I'll probably be ordering one from aim, do these have chrome lined barrels/chamber? TIA.
That's a nice rifle. You will need a scope of course.
Bushmaster makes a flip-up front sight that clamps over the milled down front sight base just in case you should want to setup some backup iron sights.
The barrel is chrome lined and the fluted option looks pretty cool.

I have one, all Bushmasters have chrome lined barrels. As for a scope, only if you really want to bore yourself. I say that because mine is so accurate with it's iron sights, that a scope only makes it unbelieveable. At just over 100 yards, I was able to put 100 rounds in a row onto a metal gong, about 4 to 6 inches in diameter (I didn't physically measure it.) It is a great rifle, and for what Aim is charging, a very good buy. I can highly recommend the Bushmaster XM15 E2S 20 inch HBAR as a great first AR-15.

They are $699 at Aim! $850 is theft.
I'm thinking about getting the same rifle. Just debating whether I should wait till September because I really want a birdcage flashhider! Just doesn't look right without one. I'm gonna go with a Bushy if the price is right but at $850+ I would go with a Colt or Armalite. Then an M4......

Dont wait till september because when the ban dies, it will take manufacturers a few months to build up a supply of "pre ban" rifles for the market. But now and get your barrel threaded then.
