Need some info from anyone that owns one. I've been eyeballing one for quite some time now but i'm not sure on the setup. Something about how the blade closes next to the handle. I picture myself reaching in my pocket and slicing my hand.

Anyone had this problem?

I've got a similar folder by Gerber, a small money clip/keychain 4.75" model. The sharpened edge is close enough to the frame so I can't get cut BUT the tip of the blade is close enough to the edge that I sometimes get a mild stab if I'm careless.

The edge and handle fit together very well. I got my fiance a KISS for Valentine's Day one year, and she carries it inside her waistband all the time. No problems as of yet.

The edge is chisel-ground (ground on only one side), so the edge is flush with the handle.

i carried one in my pocket and never had any problem with it as far as that goes.

the major problem i had that caused me to give it up was the blade closing on my hand. it's a rigid lock up but when you grip it, tightly, the locking bar(?) can slip sideways out of the notch and the blade will fold up on you. it was a rugged little knife so i used it for all sorts of heavy duty stuff so if your wife isn't planning on prying open ammo cases or cutting climbing rope, she'll have no probs!:D
