For all you collectors, the two MUST HAVEs are Duncan O. McCollum's Japanese Rifles of World War II and Fred L. Honeycutt Jr. and F. Pratt Anthony's Military Rifles of Japan. The second book is probably the most complete book on Nihon no Shoujuu (Japanese rifles) available. McCollum's is great for a starting manual to collecting.
I also recommend the japanese book Japanese Infantry Arms of World War II by Ritta Nakanishi, published by DAINIPPONKAIGA Co. and imported by RZM Imports. This book has a lot of illustrations taken from WWII IJA manuals (including the 7 basic sword techniques taught by the IJA from the Toyama school), and has text in both Nihongo and english. It's also not very expensive for the information it contains (always a plus)...
What books do you folks suggest???
