It seems like a variant of the klmk. it even looks reversable. it does not look real to me(well not like what he is claiming it to be) hmmm. any opinions......it also seems a little expensive......
hmmmm:rolleyes:

If it is real, and it looks like it is by the stamp and cut then that is a decent price. Yeah it is high, but that is the only set I have seen for sale in the US. The others have all been in private collections.

The way that guy stands and his features look vaugely familiar. I wonder if the author is cleaning out his closet again......

Yeah, its real, and its very rare. The pattern is not common, though there are many like it that were developed later. Its a true collectors item.

If you just want a green/cream Soviet camo, wait for the later ones that people often call "computer" or "laser" pattern. Its the same pattern seen on the KLMK oversuite but the colors are the lighter green and cream like the one in this auction. Classic Soviet, under $100. The price may be a bit high on this one, but who knows, price is determined by what the buyer is willing to pay.

Dennis Desmond? Could be. I have one of the SMK rainsuits said to be featured in his book. A fellow on the board who goes by MDPowlen sold it to me, I have a lot of pics of his stuff I still need to post here, I have been pretty lame about getting stuff posted in this forum though. He has a magnificent collection.

Check Dennis Desmonds book "Camouflage Uniforms of the Soviet Union and Russia, 1937-To The present" page 87 "Cold War Camouflage Type II Leaf Pattern Coveralls-MK" year issued 1948 ie dark green leaves on light back ground as in ebay photo. Compare to WW II leaf pattern pages 80, 81,82, 83 ,84 and detail of WW II leaf pattern page 85 all WWII illustrated are light leaf on dark back ground. Page 80 is the 1941-1942 issue type and is light leaves on dark back ground.

Investigate closely with early Soviet camo a lot of more recent items have been "re dated" and even commercial suits offered as original WW II. Just MHO.
