Just thought I'd ask and see what every one has. I am very pleased with my two folders. ;)

Enthusiastic (sp?) Benchmade owner. Carried a mini AFCK for nearly 7 years. Sent it back on the 'life sharp guarntee' and got back a newly sharpened blade with the rest of the knife100% new. I had some broken plastic in mine and the grips were worn. For the $4-$5 shipping I got my blade factory sharp again bolted in a new knife. I can not say enough about Benchmade. Great company!!
Excellent company. I drop my Elishewitz Stryker off at the SHOT show every year, and they ship it back to me as good as the day I got it. They're pricey, but they're worth it IMHO.

That is the FN FiveseveN 5.7x28mm handgun. It is ideal for taking down uberfallschirmjagersquirreltruppen wearing Level IIIA body armor, but that's about it.

What is this thumbhole your talking about?

The original Mini AFCKs had permission from Spyderco to have their round thumbhole.

The newer versions of the knife have an oval thumbhole, negating the need to obtain permission from Spyderco...

I always wanted a blue titanium Sentinel, but they stopped making them before I started making enough money to buy one :(

RJ Shooter,
I have one of the round holes also. Same as the one you pictured except mine does not have the coated or serrated blade. Thanks for clearing that up... I heard the reference to the round hole once before and wondered the difference.

Yeah, I need to send one of mine in to them to do the free overhall.......the blade used to have a black powder coat finish on it, but not it is starting to get shiny!

My Benchmade has the round hole too, I love that knife, and it throws well.

Be careful throwing folders. That's how I broke my first Spyderco Endura. Snapped the lock right in half!

Not only Benchmade owner but I'm also Benchmade dealer.
Right now I'm kinda partial to a 9050 AFO for everyday carry but it varies between it and a 5000 Axis model.
Best damn knife brand going IMHO......
And I said the same thing before I was a dealer.....

I got a factory 2nd Bali-Song when I was at the Blade show in '96. That knife is bomb-proof, and so much fun to play with. I still have the scars on the back of my hand from learning...
The best part was that the knife only cost $30 brand new, since somehow the factory had FUBARed the polishing and it had a small finish imperfection in the blade. As if I gave a flying crap. I had a $30 Bali-Song!

Damn straight I did. And it's the old-style Bali-Song, with steel handles. None of this aluminum or titanium shit, but good ol' hefty steel that actually has the proper weight for flipping around in a flashy manner. I hate the new ones with their titanium handles. I would like a pocket clip on mine, though. Oh well.
Oh, sorry if I'm ranting. I got into the Baerenjaeger (basically 70-proof mead), and I'm pretty verschnickered. Damn getting laid off sucks!

I'm a database designer, but I'm fresh out of undergrad with no real work experience. Everyone wants an M.S. and 5-8 years' experience. So I'm somewhat FUBARed. I'm giving serious consideration to getting back into shape and applying to the Mesa or Scottsdale PD.

i recently bought one of the afck knives at a local gunshow. i paid $50, idk if thats a good deal but i love it. mine has a dull crystaline finish of sorts, not teflon coated or anything unfortunately. my previous knife was a smith and wesson swat, black. it was nice but the locking, speed, quality, etc does not compare to the benchmade. i really like how the thumb stud is positioned further out from the handle unlike those tiny gerber milleniums. great knife and i will definately buy one again....either that or another becker combat utility :D
