I have 3 Colt mags that came w/ my Bushmaster carbine that I picked up last summer. All three have the feeder lips that aren't "wrapped around the back of the magazine, and the lips are bent and it causes the last two rounds to pop out almost simultaneously.

Feeds the second to last round, then at almost the same time the last round pops out of the mag as the bolt is halfway home, jamming the rifle w/ 2 rounds bound in the action. On one of the mags the bolt will lock open on a full clip?

Can new green followers and nice springs fix the issue? I like the look of nice steel mags and I have seen that the NIW Colt mags are more expensive that new USGI.

All others I have, Orlite, Okay, Adventure Line have the "wrapped" feeder lips and I have no problems w/ them. The only other mag I have that is like the Colt mags is a Simmonds 20 rd. that almost looks like a dull nickel plate and very old but works like a champ.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! local gunshop/gunsmith said they are shot.

It sounds like either your follower is tilting and pushing a round under the bolt catch forcing it up and stoping the bolt, or the spring is bent back and snags the bolt catch and you fire rounds. New followers and springs should fix it. Since your replacing them, try out those new magchinch followers. http://www.gunsnet.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=185491
