Does any one have one of these behemoths???

I am looking at several different models. Most of their blades run under $200.00.

Here are two of the models I am interested in.

Steel Eagle

I also like their B.E.S.T. (Black Eagle Strike Team) Knife

Excellent knives....no question. But I'll ask the same question I posed in my thread "Extrema Ratio"..

What is it that warrants a $200 plus price from a commercially produced knife?

Raw stock.....is 1095 High Carbon steel raw stock that expensive?

Tempering process.....is it the technique that hardens the edge that drives up the price?

Juts trying to understand when it's worth the money to buy a $200 "TOPS" when a Cold Steel can be had for $60-70?

You are on to something there AZ.....

My most durable knife is a 7" Night Raider Kabar I got for only $39 at an Army Navy store.

I think in TOPS case, they charge that amount due to the fact they cam move product for that amount.

I never buy a knife from the manufacturer, instead I shop around and can usaully find the blade I want on the internet for at least $50 less than the suggested retail.

I do not have one of them, but I have Tops 550 auto. I love that knife. I used to carry it all the time, but you can't carry an auto in OK.
