amd-65, problems:
1. Gas Tube is still very rough, manually bringing the bolt forward and back is HELL.
2. The directions I got with my kit aren't quite cutting it, they're poor at best..actually terrible..
a. Still have a bunch of parts I have no idea what they do.
b. two pieces of metal that came with the receiver, different shapes...where do these go?
3. length bolt comes back ,unsure.
Any decent assemly diagrams on here? Thanks!

1. gas tube problem is probably related to 2.b.
2. directions?? you got directions????
2.a pics would help
2.b these would probably be the rails that guide the bolt that is causing your binding problem.
3. all the way

I would recommend a completed receiver at this point. Putting a kit together is confusing enough for the first time, let alone dealing with an unfinished receiver. If the two pieces of metal you are confused about are the inner rails you should really look into a Vulcan or OOW receiver.

they are the rails, I've been researching a whole lot.... How are the ace arms receivers? (bent blanks) ?
I would suggest you get a pre-bent 1.6 mm receiver from arsenal. They have the rails alredy installed along with the trigger gaurd. You can then rivet or screw the rest of it together. the trunions do have to be milled but any local shop will do that or arsenal will do it for you for a small fee. I just build an amd65 and it came out pretty good using arsenal receiver, tapco fcg and gas piston. All quality components.

well I did get a blank with my original purchase. The template had all sorts of differentiations for each kind of gun, it didn't really specify it in the written directions..
