These look to be the same 9mm's that the Iragis were issueing, only those were slightly different....Are they a good deal? I am wondering just how good of a deal a 'copy' of the Berretta 1951 can be.....

IIRC The "Helwan" is a egyptian copy of the berretta 51. I have shot a few and they were ok.
It is a licenced copy not just a knock off. Beretta sold the factory and set it up for the Egyptians to mfg. the model 1951 pistol. I bought one in the early 1990's when Interarms imported a bunch of them in very good condition. It was a reliable pistol and shot real good for a $99 pistol. I shot it for several years and many 100's of rounds till I traded it for a deer rifle.

I think they are junk and nothing like the quality a real Beretta 51 at all.
The triggers are rough as hell, the mainsprings are tight as hell and the two together have probabaly the worst trigger pull known to mankind.
Pietro Beretta would be spinning in his grave if he knew.
Save your money and go directly to the deer rifle. IMHO.
Or just buy another Makarov instead. :(

Dumb question time. Does SOG sell to individuals or do you have to have a C&R to get those prices?
