Saiga AK 12 Gauge

Anyone here own one of these. I am heading to the gun show in Lafayette today and was going to look at these for my son. I am curious as to the fit and function as compared to the AK.

I found that the value shells didn't work 100% but never had a malfuction using the "better" stuff.

I have the 19" version. Fit and finish are great. Has fed everything I put through it (ususally cheap Wal-mart stuff) with no malfunctions. It is my favorite shotgun.

Value stuff (federal) should work great. Dont forget to adjust your gas system.

Mine eats it all. Walmart stuff, gobbles it down like anything else. Been some confusion on the gas settings. If the gas plug is removed, It can be viewed that one position, the regular reains round, nearly cutting off all gas flow.
In the other setting, there is a 45 degree cutout on the reg. allowing more flow og ported gasses.

I cant remember which is which and cant look now, the wife is bitching at me. damn. shoulda stuck to self abuse. papa
