Need a lower

Hey guys, Im finally building my AR. I picked up a pre-ban Bushmaster upper the other day. It's something like an 11 inch barrel. I would have to register it as a machine gun or a pistol but it had a 5.5" flash suppressor welded onto it.

Was wondering wether to dig up a Bushmaster lower or go with another type. I hear good things about DPMS. Any opinions?

Of course the lower must be preban, so what kind of price am I looking at? The only lower I saw the other day was postban and it was over $300. Im buying parts separately in hopes of paying less than I would for a complete rifle.

300$ for a postban is a ripoff..

average price for postban.. for RRA, few other no namers.. and the majority of lowers... 100$

Bushy and Colt.. about 150$

preban lowers... doesn't usually matter at all what brand it is.. or the quality.. they'll still charge up the ass... expect 600$ or thereabouts...

might be able to find a real beat to shit one for 400ish

these are stripped lower prices btw... check AR15.com equipment exchange.. gunbroker.com.. etc

personally I'd wait till the ban sunsets before doing anything.. it'll turn that 600$ investment into a 100$ peice of metal if it does sunset.. but.. if you're lucky one of the commie occupied state victims might take it off your hands for a fair price after september..

You can buy a complete lower with stock for $300 bucks. Whoever that guy is should be kicked in the nuts!

I completely reccomend MEGA lowers.

they are made in Tumwater washington, not far from where I live, and I personally own 3. I've seen and felt the quality of almost every other lower made, yes even the pre-bans, and only a few were upto par with the MEGA. (AMEETEC was one also)

check AR15.com and you'll find a thread about the MEGA's... well... acutally 3 or 4 threads in the EE.
