What do you need to do to legaly own a Class 3 arm? Is it just that tax that you pay for SBr's or is there more to the hole thing?

What paperwork and stuff do you need?
Do you have to be a certain age?
How long does it take to process?
How much for a drop in sear for my current gun?

Thanks

yes if your state is ok with it its same as SBR its called Forum 4

1.Same as SBR that a Police ok and fingers to FBI or you do corp. transfer
2.yes 21
3.WOW Long long long time your first well take forever if you are doing out state then it has to be transfer you your C2 or C1 with SOT tax stamp first and that’s around 2 weeks to as long as 6,7 weeks it really depends on your C2orC1withSOT examiner then to you it well take from 4 weeks to 90days (and yes sometimes more but that ding trend now as ATF got faster) after that its all yours but make sure its ok with you state and locale laws and don’t purchase a gun b4 you toke with police as same sobs don’t sign 4 FA weapons or sign only for C&R (so you have to go with corp.) Also know that CORP. transfers don’t need any fingers prints so it well go1 or 2 weeks faster
4. "drop in sear"
It depends really for what gun ??? like DIAS for m16 well go 10k but swd Lightning Link (the suck) well go for around 7k or Fleming sear for HK well go for 10k but know that if it ever breaks you are totally FUCKT if you lucky then you can have pieces wielded back together you can only do that if the piece that has serial numbers is ok because YOU CANT TOUCH SERIAL # so if you have cash go with RR
PS if you not jest fooling around and actually have 10+K post I well help you out with exhalent links and beset prices (I collect MG’s)
Psps SWD M11 are around 2400 the are the cheapest FA guns you can get the also kick ass

JE3146 you are Moron that know nothing about Title II world so pleas SFUP. MG’s are one of beset investment in US according to Forbes magazine starting to save for home at age 18 is stupid and 4 the future a appreciate if you didn’t take about things you know nothing about as you have never owned an MG in your life “barrel every 4 months” I don’t know my barrel on a full uzi has over 8k round and its jest as good as new, a case of 9mm wolf is $90 so that 200rnds (you shot lees because you bring other gun with you) for $18
And my uzi is worth more then wean I gat it 3 years ago

How bout a little civility?

I agree the statement about burning barrels and going through 200 buck worth of lead isnt right on ( the 200 worth of lead actualy isnt THAT wrong!) there are other ways to state you disagreement than a "STFU"... To a MOD none the less. I also disagree with your comment on LLs. I have several friends who have them and like 'em alot. You are also FAR LESS LIKELY to break a DIAS or LL than you are likely to have a KABOOM. NEVER actualy met someone or read of someone who has ruined a DIAS or LL...Cant say the same for a KABOOM.

Your first transfer may seem like it takes longer but it will not take longer than you second or third. I would also suggest not buying a MG from out of state. Its crazy to spend that kind of money on something you cant check/handle in person first. See the gun...Try the gun out...Or move on to the next one...
Also, I would suggest getting your 3FFL (CnR license) and purchasing a CnR mg rather than a non CnR. First off you will be able to take delivery directly to yourself ( even if from out of state) rather than going through another SOT, which saves both time and money. Secondly...and most important to me... You will not need "permision" to travel with your MGs out of state. All you need is a copy of you 3ffl and you are ready for the road - without a 3ffl and a CnR MG you will need to file for paperwork permitting you to travel with your MG to a specific location out of state...
Admitedly an entry level CnR MG will be more than a Mac. A HnR Riesing will cost you around 5k. That is probably the least expensive CnR MG.

Lastly... Shooting an MG is so damn fun that you will see grown men jump up and down after they do it the first time. You will NEVER stop getting that "MG grin" when you shoot your fully. Its the difference between shooting your bbgun and shooting your AR..... No comparison!

I disagree. I communicate with that person OFF gunsnet and know of his financial situation and current hardships in life.

I was giving him a reccomendation as a friend, not a fellow gunsnetter giving so called "advice." Given my knowledge of him, I felt it a better investment to spend money elseware. Like a roof to sleep under.

Little late of a reply to this, you don't catch everything.

Of course the other thing he has to do is get out of the Happy Acres Sanitarium, and destroy all records of his ever having been there. The feds don't approve mental patients

Does anyone know where the forbes reference is regarding investment returns that MG's have?
