Kurt, busy buddy? Anticipating the influx of barrels for muzzle device mods after 9.13?

I have two Bushy mods for ya.
A2 (new front sight base+ thread bbl + A2 hider) - I can supply the A2 FH if you don't have any milled.
M4 (new front sight base + A3 hider)
When should I get 'em off to ya? I don't want to bog you down. But I know you're gonna get hit in a month... ;)

Thanks, RJ

Well, I got my front sight bases from Fulton Armory last week, but they are not the ones I ordered. :dunno:

They are the more expensive ($59 instead of $29) versions with their PowerWedge set up. I guess the front sight can be adjusted for windage because it uses four opposing set screws instead of the two cross pins.

Have you heard any positives or negatives about this design? I worry about the screws backing out. :( I guess I could get it set then lock-tight them. These FSBs are standard on their FAR15 rifles, but I have not heard anything...

If they are a good deal, I guess I won't complain about the $60 free gift. The forgings are very nice. Nicer than my Bushies in fact. :)

These FSBs are halfway down the page. I ordered the $29 versions above it, at standard ground rate. But they sent me the more expensive ones 2nd day air. What the crap??? I must be special.
:lool:

That's your good luck! I've installed these, and you can too. On virgin match barrels I mill a little step/flat perpendicular to the screw axis, to allow for the screw tips to contact fully. They'll bite into your barrel as-is. Armalite uses these, and I have one on my AR10. These are the ones that should be made in preban configuration. They'd sell like hotcakes! Yes, dope the threads of the screws. Thx.

Yup, these babies have the pretty little Bayo lug on 'em. :D

I'm glad to hear you like them, 'cause I was a little worried.

I'm gonna want these babies and your A3 Milspec hider installed when Ms. Frances leaves. ;)

Dammit man! Cleaning up at closing yesterday, found a rifle gas tube and pin on one of the assembly benches. Gotta be yours. I did the 20 incher first, and set it in the box while I completed the work on the shorty. Wrapped them both up for shipment, forgetting to install your gas tube on the rifle. I'll send it out today. SAT!

Ain't no thang buddy... :D

After a few builds, I think I can handle pinning the tube back in. :p

I'm hoping to see "Out For Delivery" on the UPS tracking page this morning for the barrels. :)

Later Mister!!!!

Hurrying caused this. Sometimes, this old man just pushes the envelope too hard. Both my SO and I have done this for 20+ years, and it's starting to tell, on both of us. We have one speed, flat out.
Rifle tubes are easier to install than carbines. Also, I knew you would want to stretch out the carbine most of all! Look for the tube within a tube comming your way.

Hey, I understand. When I packed the barrels up to send to you, I walked out the door without putting the FSBs and the A2 hider in the box. Had to re-open it up to shove 'em in there. ;)

So yes, I understand bud...

I've done that a bunch, but usually catch it right on the pack & ship table. I sent tube (and new retaining pin) out Priority Mail, so you should have it very soon, and in time. Thx!
