I need a replacement sight wedge pin for my Enfield No4.

I haven't been able to find a good source for these (without having to pay horrendous shipping).

Any ideas out there on creating a reasonable facsimile?

I would try Springfield Sporters for an actual replacement, but if you want to try fabricating one, I'd go to the hardware store and look at the smaller brads (#18 or 20 or so) and finishing nails (4d and under). With a slightly larger diameter to start with, you can chuck the nail or brad in an electric drill and file a taper on it, then cut to length to fit. Wear eye protection.

Noah's idea is a good one, I used a small finishing nail to do one once, it was the perfect diameter so I didn't even have to file it, just file an end slightly and cold-blue it to look the part. Can't tell it from the real thing.
