cast or forged dpms lower?

guys building one. sorry for the stupid question but. out of all the ar's i have handled. i have never noticed how to tell the difference between a cast or a forged lower. how do you? i found an dpms lower real cheap at a pawn shop brand new. it has a panther on the side. 40 bucks takes it home.

I was gonna say no to a dpms lower.. but hell, at that price id say go for it. Cast lowers have been known to have parts break off easier than a forged lower. Its just a cheaper way of forming the metal.

someone correct me if im wrong, but i believe that cast items have writing on them bump out, and forged items writing is cut into the metal.
